Millions face a never-ending cycle of financial struggle, researchers found. They are squeezed between two layers of a "sandwich" - their children and their parents. Many will spend so much looking after the young and the old that they are left with little or nothing for themselves and can expect a bleak financial future. Norwich Union interviewed more than 1,000 working adults about their personal lives for the report, which is published today.
